Seller called me, replying to my letter, and I suddenly found myself questioning his house a little more. I know what to deal with, repair estimate wise, when it comes to the norm, but what about cinder block houses?

    Are they tougher to repair?

What is the cost of injecting insulation down the blocks, if possible?

Cost of electrical work with these?

    Painting expensive?

Do rehabbers view these houses as a real pain to deal with?

If anyone has any brief/basic thoughts, please do share!

    Thank you.

You can call a company like Air Tite Foam Insulation for a quote on foam filling the ungrouted cells of the walls. I believe that's somewhere around .70 per block to fill. Electrical could get interesting depending on what exactly you are trying to accomplish. As far as painting goes, if it's not painted correctly already you'll most likely want to use a block filler coat first to fill in all the porous parts of the aggregate and then put on a coat of paint. Feel free to contact me if you need any other info and I'll help any way I can.
