Sorry to hear this. Been there-done that. There are many programs out there that claim to help but I have experienced the same result as you. Doesn't help much. My recommendation is, if it's been a while since you last RESTORED your machine back to factory software I recommend you start there (After you back up all your data) then restore, then install the best protective software, anti virus, malware, and spyware software available today. You will experience a HUGE increase in performance when doing so.
I did this also with upgrading to a Solid State Drive and it was amazingly fast however 4 weeks later something (malware) got on my machine again and I was back to square one. I was so frustrated when that happened I went and bought a MacBook Pro. Problem Solved. Huge learning curve switching from a PC to Mac but now I love it and will never go back.
